Pathways to Healing · Scholarship Sponsorship
HAVAYA is a healing center for Israelis on the beach in Koh Phangan, Thailand. We invite you to sponsor scholarships: each scholarship funds one person's full 7-night healing and recovery journey, including flights and professional care, and you choose which community your sponsorship reaches. Your sponsorship also helps us finish building the center, which will bring healing to thousands of people every year.
Where HAVAYA stands today
HAVAYA in one minute

Where do you come in?
You choose who to hold. We take care of everything else, and show you exactly where your gift goes.
HAVAYA can become a healing home for the people you serve. We partner with nonprofits to bring groups from their community for a complete healing journey.
Among the communities we focus on: Nova survivors, soldiers with PTSD, bereaved families, kibbutz communities, returned hostages, first responders and people facing illness.
Why now
Since October 7, millions of Israelis have lived with ongoing strain: exposure to extreme events, loss, trauma and uncertainty. Healing body and mind is no longer a side issue. It is an urgent need.

How it all began
Tamar and Neriya each left Israel with the same prayer: to heal from the trauma, keep love and faith alive, and not let the darkness win.
At a Chabad House dinner they were seated across from each other "by chance", and instantly felt at home.
Both had spent years creating spaces of healing and community. Together they led healing spaces for Israelis around the world and saw how deeply it was needed.
In Koh Phangan the vision became a signed 15-year lease on the sea: a home for many more who need a safe place to heal and come back to life.

Neriya leads the building of the center. Tamar leads the experience and the values. Together, for more than 18 months, they have hosted and run HAVAYA with a growing team of therapists, facilitators and builders.

Our journey so far
How a sponsorship works
HAVAYA is a social business, not a nonprofit. That is why every sponsorship goes through a partner nonprofit: you give to the nonprofit, and the nonprofit sponsors the scholarships at HAVAYA.
With one or both of our founders, or with a member of our team. Together we choose the communities and the scale that fit you.
You donate to a partner nonprofit, the one you support or one that works with us, and receive your receipt from it. In the US, gifts go through a US 501(c)(3) partner, so they can be tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Through a written agreement with HAVAYA: how many people, when, what is included, and how it is reported.
HAVAYA flies, hosts and accompanies every participant, and you receive updates on the journey.
Half of every sponsorship goes straight to building the spaces where the healing will happen.
The other half is kept aside for the cohorts themselves: flights, transfers, therapy and hosting. The account is supervised by our accounting firm, and released cohort by cohort with full transparency.
Recognition
Questions donors ask us
Complete healing journeys: each cohort sponsorship gives 50 Israelis a professionally guided 7-night journey at HAVAYA, with preparation before, round-trip flights, meals, therapy and ongoing support after. It also strengthens HAVAYA's capacity to welcome future groups.
People from the communities you choose, such as Nova survivors, soldiers and reservists with PTSD, bereaved families, October 7 kibbutz communities, returned hostages and their families, and first responders. You can also direct your sponsorship to any community or nonprofit close to your heart.
Yes. We hold a signed 15-year lease on the land, in the name of our company, HAVAYA HEALING CO., LTD., running since 1.3.2025. 9 million baht have already been paid to the landowners. The center already operates, and more than 800 people have already been here.
Our plan: complete the fundraising by 31 December 2026, build during 2027, and welcome the first sponsored cohorts in 2028. We already have many connections and commitments on the table, and we intend to close the full funding by then. Choosing the groups and preparing them with the partner nonprofits starts already during 2027, so your sponsorship starts working within months.
Yes. We tailor the sponsorship, reporting and recognition around what matters most to you, from a quiet personal dedication to a named cohort.
Founders Tamar Rachel Lavie and Neriya Noylander, with 60+ therapists and facilitators, project managers Chema Gómez and Izzy, procurement lead Shani Ivgi, architect and engineer Arnon, interior designer Sivan Lazar, and the legal and accounting firm Vize Counselor led by Amir Zisovich.
Yes. HAVAYA is a social business, so your gift goes to a partner nonprofit: one you already support, or one that works with us. It sponsors the scholarships at HAVAYA, and you receive your receipt from it. For US donors, gifts go through a US 501(c)(3) partner nonprofit, so they can be tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donors in other countries give through a supporting body in their own country. Neriya will walk you through the right route for you.
Half of every sponsorship goes to completing the center, and the other half is held in a dedicated trust account for the cohorts themselves, supervised by our accounting firm. It is released cohort by cohort, under a written agreement with a clear timeline and regular reports.
Because healing sometimes needs distance. A supportive place outside Israel lets people truly let go, step away from the triggers and the trauma, and gather new strength to bring back home. Koh Phangan also has a large Israeli community, and costs there let us offer a deeply invested journey at a very accessible price.
A clinical team at the highest level, including professionals experienced in trauma and PTSD, to the standards required of a Health Rehabilitation Center under the Thai BOI track. Clinical professionals already accompany the project, and the full clinical team will be finalized during 2027. Every participant goes through personal intake, and every cohort is fully insured.
In the worst case, a delay of several months, up to about 10. Even then, nothing is lost: we begin the online preparation process with your groups, they will be the first cohorts to arrive, and the sponsorship can be spread over a few years, depending on the number of groups. All of this is set in advance in the agreement.
Yes, you are warmly invited. HAVAYA is already active, and many of our supporters have walked the land, joined a Shabbat dinner or sat in a circle with us.
A personal note
HAVAYA was born from a real longing and a vision that comes from deep in our hearts: a vision of a safe world of peace, freedom and acceptance. So we started, believed, persisted and acted, and created the first HAVAYA center in Koh Phangan.
We invite you to be a meaningful part of creating a safer, better world, and to use your giving to bring healing and a better life to thousands of people every year.
With gratitude, in service and humility, Tamar & Neriya
